50 West: A NEW ADDITION TO THE NEW YORK CITY SKYLINE
At approximately 780 feet tall, views from 50 West Street’s curved glass windows are unparalleled. New York Harbor, both the Hudson and East Rivers, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island are all clearly visible. Internationally acclaimed architect Helmut Jahn, well known for his modern steel-and-glass structures, has designed one of the most striking new buildings in the city.
To allow clients to envision future residences, Technology West Group was a key member in working with DBOX and, as a team, was responsible for what potential buyers saw in the sales center. The sales office focuses’ on an interactive display of apartments and their views that are controlled by a UHD(4K) touch-screen computer. An Edge Blended curved projection wall showcases 180-degree images, originally taken by drones, of different elevations from the building. The high-resolution photos and renderings appear when buyers select different units from the touch interface. This, in turn, highlights the units on the 3D model of the tower to show exactly where they are in the building. Visitors can also peer through dioramas of particular units to get a feel for the view through the space.
