Mirage Race & Sports Book
When The Mirage opened in 1989, its sportsbook became the first mega sportsbook in Las Vegas. When in 2013, the property decided it was time for an upgrade, they approached Technology West Group with the project and their ideas on what they would like their iconic sportsbook to become. Working closely with the property, we were able to design and develop their ideas into one of the largest single-screen projection systems on the strip. The projection surface is 85’ wide by 16’ high utilizing three Sony 4K resolution projectors and Vista Systems image processors, allowing the property to display up to sixteen games on the screen at once. From the control room, the sportsbook operators can preview and route any of their thirty sources up to the wall using a 24” Crestron touch panel and Crestron Digital Media video router.
